The Ball Game
Late Friday, my work surprised me with a pair of tickets to the Dodgers for Sunday. Even though I knew it would be 90+ degress, I said yes. Why not? On Sunday I looked up the location of the tickets, and it was in the outfield in the hottest, no shade part of the stadium. So we lathered on the sunscreen, grabbed hats, visors and water. After parking at the stadium, we looked a little lost and a nice older worker asked if we needed help finding our seats. He told us our seats might be way out on the outfield, in the hot sun, but we should follow him over to the home plate ‘Loge’ section to ask his co-worker. His co-worker at the entrance to the Air-Conditioned Loge section, looked at our tickets and said: “you don’t want these”, reached into his pocket and pulled out 2 really nice tickets for us! We ended up in the shade on the 1st base line, and really enjoyed the game from there.
I had a blast playing with my camera, trying to freeze the action and catch some good moments. Here’s a few pics:
you can see the ball he hit between the Toyota signs
